Summer is finally here, courtesy of Zara Home and Collagerie. It might be one of the wettest seasons on record, but this collaboration is sun-drenched and joyful enough to just about make up for it. Launching today, 18th July, the collection is an attractive blend of Collagerie's signature stripes and playful use of colour, with Zara Home's laidback aesthetic.
Collagerie co-founder, Lucinda Chambers, says, “The starting point of the collection was to marry Zara Home’s brilliantly neutral palette with a love of colour. I turned to one of my favourite artists, Milton Avery, who uses colour in such an unexpected way. Colours colour everything, from what you see to how you feel. The result is a homeware collaboration that spans everything from lighting, textiles to tabletop. Combining earth tones with shots of electric blue, acid yellow and bright red, it has been designed to go wonderfully together and yet each piece stands alone to uplift, energise, and enhance the home!”
Below, Lucinda highlights some of her favourite pieces.
A chic metal side table for both inside and out, it’s light but robust so perfect to move around and play with where you want and need it.
These towels are reversible so brilliant for beach and home.
Mixing neutrals with soft tones each of the placemats is different so it’s mix and not match!
A small ceramic tray is perfect for all your home bits and pieces that get scattered around, equally wonderful on the table for elevating dinners!
This is coming home with me – a neutral woven chair for inside and out with electric blue legs to make the point of difference and it’s very, very comfortable.
A woven abstract floral throw, perfect for the back of the sofa or on the end of the bed. I love how the pattern is striking but not overwhelming.
I’m never not drawing up a blanket design and this one has a beautiful feel, thick and luxurious, bright and subtle at the same time.
This stool has an artisanal feel to it with the woven top and wooden electric blue legs, it’s going to be my bathroom upgrade!
Another personal favourite is this cushion, again combining a tobacco neutral with a fabulous yellow. It’s woven, not printed so again feels robust and designed to last.
A centrepiece for any table and would make the humblest of flowers look interesting and unusual, it comes with a smaller sister in red so you can have different heights on the table which I always love.
Based on a vintage plate in my collection, this has a slightly mid century modern feel and is super chic and pared down – great for the minimalists amongst us.
I’m always on the lookout for a shade with a difference and this one both blends and pops, it’s a broken stripe which makes it more unusual.
This rug has wonderfully random tufts of red that make it more interesting. I love that it involves colour without being overwhelmingly colourful.
The jug and glasses set are a match made in heaven! All variations of the colour combinations in the collection – the brilliant brights with a neutral to balance, earthy and tonal – they all go hand in hand, literally!
A very chic paper and papier-mâché candlestick – mixed with the brilliant blue one that is in the collection, I would have them running along a table.
I love this cushion as it has a tough durable feel to it and the colours are bright and brilliant.
I love the juxtaposition of the brilliant red with the tobacco. This is a heavy glass candlestick that is wonderfully weighty.
This is a huge woven floor cushion that incorporates all the colours of the collection from soft pink to electric blue.
